Hi Friends, Happy Hump Day!
It is Spring Break this week for my kids, so talk about perfect timing to talk about my mom fails and living to tell about it. HA! I am linking up with Mix and Match Mama and A Little Bit of Everything to talk about our Mom Fails. Feel Free to link up to or even comment about your mom fails and living to talk about it.
I feel like as a Mom, we put a lot of guilt on ourselves because we just want the best for our kids. In that same breath, though there are days, that I need a glass of wine because OMG that day was R.O.U.G.H!
Usually, I can go to the grocery store without all of the kids or just one of them. However, I didn’t realize we were out of a few things, which meant taking all the kids to the grocery store. YIKES! You can believe when that happens, my grocery bill triples with things they want. Now, I am mostly a hard no kind of person, but for some reason, its like a mad dash, Yes, Yes, Yes to everything, which then leads to me thinking, well crap, now I just broke my rule of hard No’s to them wanting things.
So to combat this Mom Fail, I have started making them do things for whatever item they want. I limit it to one item per kid and they have to dance in the aisle, do jumping jacks, hop on one foot etc. #willworkforfood
I at least ease my mom fail guilt, they get exercise and understand they have to work for what they want #amen.
