Phoenix: Restaurant Guide

Hi Friends,

Over the summer, I went to Phoenix for my doctoral graduation and we had the best kid-free trip.  My brother, and his wife live there, and they had great intel on places to eat.

If you are ever in Phoenix, be sure to check some of these hot spots!

The Churn and The Windsor are connected to each other, and it is the perfect lunch spot with an afternoon treat of ice-cream.  I ordered the crab cake burger and it was amazing! After lunch, we headed over to The Churn and devoured some homemade ice cream.  My hubby got their capichinno milkshake and he said it was the best he ever had!

One of the nights, we went downtown in Phoenix and ate at The Arrogant Butcher.  I would highly recommend make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advanced because they are always booked.  The ambience inside is really classic and an iconic landmark in Phoenix.  We all shared the Butcher’s platter as a starter and then some of us ordered the The Butcher’s Meatloaf, Fish Tacos, and Scallops.  All of the food was delicious and anything you order will not disappoint.

When you come to Phoenix, be sure to head to downtown Scottsdale and walk the area.  They have a great selection of restaurants and bars.  We had dinner at Beverly on Main, which is a perfect date night spot.  The inside has been renovated for a speak easy look, and they are known for serving the finest cocktails.

After having dinner at Beverly on Main, we walked around and stepped into the Rusty Spur Saloon. This saloon is a registered landmark and some people like Jennifer Anniston and Clint Eastwood have come here.  If you like country music, then be sure to stop in and hear some live music.

Another great restaurant and bar to visit is Sel.  The restaurant is family owned and serves contemporary American cuisine.  Although, we did not eat dinner here, I would love to come back.  The service was amazing and you truly felt like family.  They stayed open later for my family to enjoy a beverage and even gave us dessert to celebrate my graduation.  I highly recommend visiting Sel, because it will not disappoint!
