Wednesday’s post talked about our trip to Vegas and if you missed it, check it out here. I started talking about the restaurants and realized I needed to devote a whole blog post about this place. By far our favorite meal in Vegas and probably ever, was at Echo & Rig located in Tivoli Village. You will need Uber to get there because it is off the strip, but the drive is beautiful and totally worth it!! These days, I feel like customer service is lacking.
However, my lack in faith was rejuvenated at Echo & Rig. Upon walking in, you are greeted with a sweet hostess who actually has a conversation with you. After we were seated, Xavier, the Assistant General Manager welcomed us and introduced us to our waiter, Ryan. He also came back to pour our wine and have a genuine conversation with us. Our waiter did a fabulous job! He was polite, knew the menu well, and made excellent recommendations on the different cuts of meats, appetizers that would pair well, and brought several different sauces for us to try.
We decided on the lamb cigars with Tzatziki sauce for our appetizer and then the Spencer Steak and the Steakhouse Cut – Ribeye for our meal. Both meals included homemade garlic chips and their mushroom Rockefeller. Both steaks were excellent and and the mushroom Rockefeller is a perfect side for it.
The Spencer Steak is the way to go if you are a first timer. The cut of meat was juicy, tender, and was everything a steak should be. Everyone was so kind and even presented us with their cappuccino sundae as a congratulations for receiving my doctorate. We love a great coffee ice cream, but this sundae took it to another level! Sponge cake, espresso icecream, chocolate syrup….I am drooling just thinking about it!
I can not say enough great things about this place! The service and food are out of this world and will not disappoint. Chef Marvin, Xavier Dillard the Assistant General Manager, and the entire crew at Echo & Rig set the bar high and you will not want to go to Vegas without stopping by!
