What’s Up Wednesday

Hi!!! I’m posting a little late, since it’s been crazy getting ready for family.  I’m linking up MelShay, and Sheaffer for this What Up Wednesday post. Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

What we’re eating this week…

Tilapia and shrimp have been on the menu this week.  Summer is here, so something light and tasty has been the easiest fix.

What I’m reminiscing about…

My sweet baby girl turned 1 on Saturday!! I have loved watching her grow and get such a cute personality!

What I’m loving…

All of our family is coming into town to celebrate my birthday and my sweet Lucy’s birthday. I can’t wait to hang out and enjoy our new home with everyone.

What we’ve been up to…

This weekend is huge with all of our family coming to town.  We have been busy getting the house ready and prepping for a double party this weekend.

What I’ve been dreading…

I’ve been dreading everyone leaving and they haven’t even arrived yet!  We have such a fun time, when everyone is together.  I know my kiddos will be sad, but there is always FaceTime!!

What I’m working on…

I’m turning 30 this year, so we are doing an 80’s themed bash on Saturday.  Then Sunday, we are having a Ballet Brunch for our sweet girl turning 1.  It’s been a busy few weeks getting decorations prepped for it.

What I’m excited about…

I’m excited about seeing friends and family this weekend.  Not to mention, the girls are getting pedicures on Saturday and I can’t wait for some girl time!

What I’m reading…

I just finished The Royal We and I loved it.   We are planning a trip to England in the Fall, so any recommendations about traveling, British chick lit, or anything to get you in the mood for England, send on the recommendations!

What I’m listening to…

I discovered the 80s cardio channel on Pandora and it.is.awesome!! It has lots of upbeat mix and the kids love it!! It definitely puts us in the mood for the party.

What I’m wearing…

I love Stella & Dot for their jewelry, but their bags are just as cute!! I just got in the Hudson Tote in black/cream and it is my go-to bag! It fits all of my kids stuff (snacks, diapers, wipes) and my stuff too without being too big.  It is perfect for summer and a great transition piece for Fall.

What I’m doing this weekend…

Party! Party! Party! From Friday till Monday, we will be enjoying friends and family with two birthday parties and two Fourth of July parties!

What I’m look forward to next month…

I’m looking forward to the kids doing swim lessons and relaxing on the patio!

What else is new…

My love got me a brand new Kitchen Aid Mixer for our anniversary and I finally got to use it the other day. It is the best thing since sliced bread. Love, love it!!

What is my favorite July 4th tradition/recipe?

My favorite recipe is an easy trifle with strawberries, blueberries, angel food cake, whipped topping & pudding.  You can’t go wrong!

My favorite tradition is grilling out and enjoying the fireworks and parades!

Have a great rest of the week!
